Women's Programmes

Our Women’s Programmes (CGWP) partner with over 400 women each year across three sites, to build confidence and skills, and create positive progression pathways into employment.

  • Since 2007, our early intervention language courses have provided women with essential English language skills, thereby removing related barriers in regard to education, health, employment, social mobility and community integration.*
  • Our vocational programme enables women to progress into paid employment and/or further education.*

City Gateway Women’s Programmes enables local women to gain independence, access employment and integrate better in their communities by developing skills and confidence.

We run drop-in activities and courses in Poplar, Stepney and on the Isle of Dogs, offering study opportunities from ESOL to vocational courses and apprenticeships. Whatever your level, we will match you up to the course that is right for you.

Our centres are friendly, busy places which welcome over 200 women each week – from a wide range of cultures and backgrounds. We offer a free Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) service for women. You can expect to receive impartial and up-to-date advice in a friendly environment and support in overcoming any barriers to learning and progression that you might experience.

Whether you are interested in studying or volunteering, looking for advice or need some family support, drop in or give us a call to find out more. We also have crèche places available for eligible children aged 2-4 years old.
